The Vernon Hotel and Restaurant Hanbury

The Vernon Arms in Hanbury reopened on 1st August 2012 after a £1.5 million renovation. The hotel restaurant is located in the rural parish of Hanbury within traditional Worcestershire countryside, surrounded by scenic views to the Cotswolds and Malvern Hills. In addition to farming, tourism is now a significant local industry, with the National Trusts Hanbury Hall attracting visitors from far and wide to the village. Hanbury is situated between the market town of Bromsgrove and Spa town of Droitwich. Both towns have good road communication links with the A38 giving direct access to Junction 1 of the M42 Motorway and Junction 4 of the M5 Motorway. Main line train stations at each town have regular services to Birmingham and Worcester stations. The picturesque towns of Stratford On Avon and Warwick are easily accessible. The Vernon boasts a fine management team which includes a French experienced Maitre d' who is an expert in fine wines and champagne and a passionate team of chefs. Fresh local produce is used wherever possible and the free house status of The Vernon ensures only the best choices of ingredients and products on offer to its customers. The 18th Century building is set in 20 acres of beautiful Worcestershire countryside and is renowned as the Birthplace of the Archers. The creator of The Archers Godfrey Baseley often drank in the pub and many of the original characters are supposedly based on inhabitants of the village.
